2009 - 2010 Young Athletes Training Scheme
Objectives
1. The Young Athletes Training Scheme is a progressive and systematic training programme to help identify youngsters with potential for further training
2. Athletes with outstanding performance may be selected to join the national youth squads and have the opportunity to take part in international competitions
Eligibility
1. Applicants should be aged 13 & Under (Born on or after January 1, 1997)
2. This is not a beginner's programme – Applicants should possess adequate tennis skills and sufficient match-play experience
3. Applicants must attend the open assessment organized by the HKTA. Applicants with potential will be invited to join the Youth Athlete Training Scheme

Training Schedule & Content
The programme is conducted over a 12-month period and takes place in TWO phases. A total of 48 lessons (3 hours per lesson) will be available in each phase

Current YA students are required to attend the open assessment again if they wish to continue their trainings. Players with potential will be invited to continue the training in next phase.
