The eagerly awaited Hong Kong Tennis Champions Cup 2011 will take place from December 6-11 at the Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club.
While the high-octane men's doubles remains as ever the blue riband event, the popular Ladies' Doubles Challenge (Dec 6-9) will continue to compliment this annual tennis extravaganza. All proceeds from the entry fees will go towards the HKTA's Junior Development programme.
Past Results (2003-2010)
"The growing enthusiasm for tennis among club members led to the tournament being launched as an invitational tournament for Hong Kong players back in 2003," explains Tournament Director, Lam Siu-Wai. "Now it is the highlight of the club's tennis year and hopefully it will continue to be seen as an inspiration to young players."
"This year, we invited leading international players from around the region, so the Hong Kong Tennis Champions Cup will be even more interesting and entertaining," he added.
Thailand's former ATP No. 9 Paradorn Srichaphan, the only Asian to crack the world's top-10 in the history of professional men's tennis, headlines the overseas attraction.
However, Taiwanese duo Lee Hsin-Han and Hsieh Cheng-Peng are both sitting at a career-high doubles ranking of No. 158 and No. 201 respectively at present after having combined for six Futures titles thus far this season.
